INDIANAPOLIS – Longtime USAC supporter ProSource is putting up a $2,500 award for the driver who passes the most total cars during the feature events throughout USAC’s upcoming national season.
ProSource has previously rewarded USAC competitors through Qualifying, Hard Charger and Hard Work Awards, but has had the most success with the Passing Master Award at a number of events last year, such as Indiana Sprint Week and Indiana Midget Week.
Now, however, ProSource is expanding the program for the entire year for USAC’s Silver Crown, AMSOIL National Sprint Car and NOS Energy Drink National Midget divisions.
“I’m almost always around the race track,” ProSource’s Buck Rice said. “I’ve almost always put up money for a hard work award. I’m just trying to put a few dollars in the pocket where they don’t often get it, enough to buy them a right rear tire or breakfast for the crew on the way home.
“It’s basically the same thing (as) the passing master, but on a bigger scale.”
The NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series and AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series seasons begin in February at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla.
