PERRIS, Calif. – Perris Auto Speedway and the United States Auto Club are bringing back the Budweiser Oval Nationals pit party and making it bigger and better than ever.
As part of the festivities for the 24th annual Budweiser Oval Nationals presented by All Coast Construction on Nov. 7-9, the Friday night pit party will return to the program during the three-day extravaganza.
As soon as racing concludes on Friday night, all racers, crews and fans are welcomed to come down, join in and cut loose for “Racin’s a Beach,” a beach-themed event that features live music from The Federales, serving up their style of 1980s and 90s Rock and Blues classic. Corn hole and beer pong will be included as well, among other activities.
The event is sponsored by John and Tammy McCarthy of FlowDynamics.
Rickie Gaunt, the 1999 Oval Nationals champion, will bring out his infamous Tiki Bar where The Oval Nationals shot, the NOS Bomb, will be sold.
More than 40 drivers are entered for the Oval Nationals, featuring USAC’s AMSOIL National, CRA and Sands Chevrolet Southwest Sprint Car Series.
Among them are former winners Bud Kaeding (2001, ’02, ’07), Damion Gardner (’09, ’11, ’16), Chris Windom (’10), and two-time defending winner Kevin Thomas Jr. (’17, ’18).
The Oval Nationals begins with practice Wednesday night, Nov. 6, at 5 p.m. Pacific.
Fans will be admitted free in the grandstands for practice and the track will be serving $2 pizza, soda and beer.
