WARRNAMBOOL, Australia – American Tim Kaeding will return to Premier Speedway for Victorian-based car owner Wayne Cole aboard the No. VA6 entry to compete in the Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic.
Kaeding is the 2014 Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic champion, contested the 2018 edition of the event for Cole, but after his car suffered damage in a heat race he failed to make the feature.
Last year things were a little better for the San Jose, Calif., native, as he earned a 10th-place finish in the finale that was eventually won by Robbie Farr.
Kaeding’s American season saw him form a two-car team with Jason Sides, that included several strong runs with the World of Outlaws. His best performance of the year came during the Knoxville Nationals, when Kaeding drove the Sides Motorsports entry to a fourth-place finish.
Kaeding is one of several American competitors scheduled to compete in the Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic. Other Americans scheduled to compete include Kyle Larson, Carson Macedo, Shane Stewart, Tim Shaffer, Giovanni Scelzi and Kalib Henry.
Additional new entries for the Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic are Jye O’Keeffe, Brayden Cooley and Chris McInerney.
The 48th South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic is scheduled for Jan. 24-26.
